Is Satoshi Nakamoto on the Verge of Losing Bitcoin’s Top Holder Title?

Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, currently holds the title of the largest Bitcoin holder with 1.1 million BTC.

However, this status is facing a serious challenge. According to Bitcoin System, significant inflows into American spot ETFs have emerged following a recent price surge of approximately 8% for Bitcoin, resulting in changes in the rankings of top BTC wallets.

Bitcoin’s Top Holder

Last week, nearly half a billion dollars flowed into these ETFs, bringing total net inflows close to $20 billion. Reports indicate that these funds aim to amass reserves of 1 million BTC, potentially surpassing Nakamoto’s holdings. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have achieved 94% of their target, accumulating 93,853 BTC.

The current ranking of Bitcoin’s largest holders is as follows:

  1. Satoshi Nakamoto: 1.1 million BTC
  2. Binance: 670,571 BTC
  3. BlackRock: 370,842 BTC
  4. MicroStrategy: 370,842 BTC
  5. US Government: 203,239 BTC
  6. Chinese Government: 191,244 BTC

Many analysts believe that the success of spot Bitcoin ETFs could enhance their standing if they surpass Nakamoto. However, this development may also raise concerns regarding the centralization of the Bitcoin market.
